Owatonna Public Schools board meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Board Room at the District Office (515 West Bridge Street) with some exceptions. Typically, the second Monday of the month is a work session and the fourth Monday of the month is the regular business meeting.
- All board meetings are open to the public except those specifically permitted by law to be closed for discussion of identified issues such as negotiation strategy or litigation (see policy 205, Open Meetings and Closed Meetings)
- There is a designated time for community comments at the regular business meetings the 4th Monday of the month.

Due to the current federal and state emergency declarations and guidance about limiting person-to-person contact due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, all meetings of the Owatonna Public Schools (ISD 761) school board will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statute 13D.021 - Meetings by Telephone or Other Electronic Means - until further notice.
In accordance with Minnesota Statute 13D.021, members of the public are not permitted to attend meetings due to the current health pandemic. Persons may monitor meetings from a remote location by viewing the live-stream video.
If anyone would like to make a public comment at the regular Board meetings, please email your comments to email@example.com by 3:00 pm the day of the regular meeting, and please include your name, address, and phone number as per our normal public comment procedure.
