  On November 4, 2025, Owatonna Public Schools residents will be able to vote on an operating levy increase.

Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 4.

Early Voting Is Available!

You may vote early beginning September 19 at the Steele County Property Tax and Elections Office, 630 Florence Ave, Owatonna.

Early voting hours:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 1, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Monday, November 3, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You may also request an absentee ballot by completing the application. Once you receive the absentee ballot in the mail, complete it following all instructions and mail it back so it arrives by November 4, 2025.

NOTICE OF TESTING OF OPTICAL SCAN SYSTEM
INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 761 (OWATONNA PUBLIC SCHOOLS), MINNESOTA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Independent School District No. 761 (Owatonna Public Schools), Minnesota shall perform a public accuracy test of the optical scan voting system to be used in the District’s November 4, 2025 special election.   

The test shall be conducted at the Steele County Administration Building, 630 Florence Ave, Owatonna on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. 

The test is open to the public.
