District Curriculum Advisory Committee
The general purposes of the District Curriculum Advisory Committee (DCAC) are:

to serve as an advisory committee that ensures active participation in all phases in planning and improving instruction and curriculum, especially aspects affecting graduation standards;

to advise the school board on implementation of the state and local graduation requirements including K-12 curriculum, assessment, student learning opportunities and other related issues; and
-
to make recommendations to the School Board and the Superintendent of Independent School District 761 on district-wide standards assessments and program evaluation.
Applications for 2025-2026 DCAC membership have now closed. Applications will be open again in August 2026.
2025-2026 DCAC meetings will be held from 3:15-5:15pm on the following dates:
- October 2
- November 20
- January 8
- April 23
Membership in the DCAC:
A district curriculum advisory committee, to the extent possible, shall reflect the diversity of the district and its school sites, include principals, school board member(s), one teacher from each building, parents/members of the community, District Assessment Coordinator, Teaching and Learning staff, support staff, and student(s) when appropriate.
