Budget Advisory Council
Purpose
To promote active community participation and increased community understanding of the district’s budget, property tax levy, and all other relevant financial matters, and to provide input to the School Board and administration on financial plans that support district and board goals, policies and initiatives.
Members
Up to 20 individuals who are stakeholders in the school district. This may include one representative from each district employee bargaining group, as well as district residents, parents, high school students, and business representatives.
Members will serve three-year terms. High school student members will serve one-year terms, with the option for a one-year renewal, provided the student remains enrolled in the district.
Members should generally have, but are not required to have, expertise, understanding, or a background in financial matters and budgeting.
